The generator

An unpowered gate fails one of two ways

Every yard on this coast loses power eventually. What happens next is the whole question, and it is the one thing almost nobody on this corridor advertises an answer to.

  • Locked, with your truck insideThe failure nobody thinks about until the morning they need to move.
  • Or standing open all nightThe other failure mode, and the worse one.
  • A generator removes bothThe gate keeps operating and the cameras keep recording through the outage.
  • Unclaimed by the competitive setWe could not find another parking facility in this corridor advertising one.
  • Lighting stays up tooLED across the whole yard, not one pole by the gate.
  • Resident manager on siteSomeone is on the property, which matters more in a week like that than in an ordinary one.

Every one of those is photographed and cited on the security page.

What people move here

Vehicles off a yard, equipment out of a van

Two different jobs, one gate. Neither of them wants to be arranged at the last minute, which is why the booking runs without a phone call.

  • Tractors and trailersOff a low-lying yard and onto a stall five minutes from the interstate.
  • Box trucks and vansThe 40-foot stall from $89 a month, or $10 for a night.
  • Tools and equipmentInto a sealed 8×20 steel vault rather than a jobsite container.
  • Stock and inventoryOff a floor that might take water, month to month with no lease.
  • Trailers left standingNo blindside stalls, so nothing sits unwatched through a week when nobody is driving.
  • Whatever comes back afterMonth to month means you give the space up when the season ends.

The vaults are sealed against rain and humidity, but they are not climate controlled.

Questions

Before the season starts

Why does a backup generator matter in a storm?

Because an unpowered gate fails one of two ways: locked with your vehicle inside, or standing open all night. A generator keeps the gate operating and the cameras recording through an outage.

Can I move a truck or trailer here at short notice?

Yes. Spaces book online from $10 a day and the gate runs 24/7, so you are not waiting on an office to open while a storm is tracking.

Is the yard prone to flooding?

⚠️ Ask us directly and we will tell you plainly what the yard does in heavy rain rather than putting a claim on a web page. Call 832-979-2713.

Should I put equipment in a vault before a storm?

An 8×20 vault is sealed steel with the doors out of the prevailing weather, which is a better place for tools and stock than a jobsite container or the back of a van. It is not climate controlled.

How late can I get in during the season?

The gate is open 24 hours, every day, on an individual app credential with a keypad code as backup.

Do rates change during storm season?

No. The published rate is the rate — $89 a month for a 40-foot stall, $129.99 for the standard 80-foot, $88 for a vault.
